Visione Baltic 44.8m sloop, consulting for the
Project co-ordinator Glen Kessels, on the proposed
hydraulic sail handing and proplusion systems, and
general engineering systems design.
Mari-Cha III 44.7m ketch, from construction
through to commissioning and 28,000 Nm as the Chief
Engineer. Including the successful Atlantic record in
1998.

Mr John D Saunders was employed on a consulting basis
from October 2001 through March 2002.
As Captain
and Project coordinator I felt it was of great
importance that we involved experienced people in the
design and engineering of such a complex and
groundbreaking vessel.
From the very
onset of John's work we were able to pin point areas
that required further thought, perhaps most notably in
the hydraulic system and sail handling department.
John's ability to combine his high level of sailing
expertise with his well qualified engineering background
made him a most valued addition to the team. His
attitude and thoroughness in his work was remarkable and
I hope to have the opportunity to work with him in the
future.
